One day I'll be able to look back and say "Wow, I've come a long way!" Not just in my career but in my life, in my walk, in my talk, in my confidence... I've already reached levels in myself that I "wasn't supposed to". About a year ago, someone told me that Big Girls shouldn't wear sequins pants. That we're already too big, there's no need to accentuate our legs.... so I listened to them. My entire life I was supposed to follow the rules set for BIG GIRLS. Some people will read this and not care, well I'm not writing this for those people. I'm writing this for those girls Big and Small that are being held captive to a life of "shouldn't", "can't", and "you're not good enough". I'm writing this because I believed someone was right about the limits that I could reach rather than believing in myself in more situations than this. This post is more than a rant about Sequins Pants but one to tell you that they're wrong. Whoever they are to you, they can't tell you who you are... It's that time of the year again when love is in the air, hearts are fluttering and eyes are being rolled at the chick who keeps bragging about the bouquet of flowers her boo sent her (obviously I was single the past few V-Day's)! Well this year it's time for us all to feel the love! Here I put together D.I.Y projects for him and her, local V-Day deals and events, Valentine's Day outfits for ALL budgets and an EXCLUSIVE MAKEUP TUTORIAL from local makeup artist, Aurora Gipson!!

The Look:

(All eyeshadows used are from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette)

• Over the whole eyelid I used Urban Decay Primer Potion, applied with just my fingertip. This will increase the longevity of your eyeshadow and help with letting the true color show. 
• Using a flat stiff eyeshadow brush like Royal Care Cosmetic's Flat Shader brush or MAC's #239 Flat Shader brush, I used Liar over the eyelid.
• In the crease of the eyelid( right in the socket of the eye) I used Nooner eyeshadow with a fluffy blending brush like Sonia Kashuk No.116 blending brush. You want to use windshield wiper back and forth motions when applying for a nice blended look. 
•  To give the eyes a lifted look, place Strange eyeshadow underneath the browbone with the same flat stiff eyeshadow brush. 
• Now for the trickiest part of this whole look, the eyeliner. Now don't worry,  your line doesn't have to be perfect for this. The trick with eyeliner is to use short strokes to make your line. It's not a race, so take your time. Using a angled eyeliner brush, like MAC's #263 Small Angle brush, you're going to make a line from the inner corner of your eye and end just at edge of your eye using any black gel eyeliner. Like Wet and Wild's Mega Cream Eyeliner. 
• Using your fluffy blending brush, apply Blackheart eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner, and using side to side motions to smudge this color in, and moving slightly upwards to blend. This creates that sexy smokey look. 
• To intensify this look, apply Blackheart eyeshadow on the lower lash line(underneath your eye) using the same smudging technique. (A tip to make this look stand out even more, is to use a black waterproof eyeliner pencil, I love Urban Decay's 24 Hr Eye Pencil in Perversion, and line the inner rims of your bottom lashes)
•  To finish the eyes, I used Too Faced Better Then Sex Mascara for a ultra thick and fluttery lash.
• For the face you want to go clean and beautiful. For foundation I used Graftobian Hi Def Glamour Cream in Golden Sunset. And for blush used MAC's Warm Soul Mineralize Blush ( this blush is great for all skin tones!) just on the apples of the cheeks.
•  And to complete the look, sweep a warm nude lipgloss on the lips. I used Alcone At Home's Faith lipgloss.
